Bsl Jeff’s Vlog

Hi – I’m Jeff McWhinney – I am a Belfast man – I grew up there before becoming an economic refugee, landing in London, England in the early 1980′s.  I was the first Deaf CEO of the British Deaf Association and was so for almost 10 years before I moved on to Significan’t and SignVideo 4 years ago.  We run a BSL VRS and video interpreting services here in the UK.  I have four Deaf kids, come from a Deaf family, married to a CODA who has more Deaf people in her family than mine(!) I am a keen soccer fan, my team is Charlton Athletic in the Championship (for those of us old enough to remember this is the original Second Division!).  I also love going out sailing – some of you may remember I was one of the two Deaf guys who assisted Gerry Hughes in sailing his boat back across the Atlantic from USA to Scotland over a year ago!  This inspired me to buy my own boat and I go sailing in it with my family.  There will be more of me as we go on in this vlog!
